The Prickle Chain is especially effective against stubble residue. The chains roll and gently pack the soil, levelling ridges and filling furrows. Organic material is lifted to the surface and left as a mulch, which shelters the topsoil from wind and sun, reducing evaporation. The mulch slows wind and water movement over the soil surface, creating a barrier that protects the soil from erosion.
